Located at 317 Parker Drive, Garland, TX 75040, Sims Chapel Missionary Baptist Church stands as a lasting beacon of faith, love, and community. Founded in 1915 by Rev. A. L. Sims in the home of Brother and Sister Thompson, Sims Chapel holds the distinct honor of being Garland’s first African-American church. From its humble beginnings, the church has grown into a cornerstone of spiritual leadership and service, touching countless lives through worship, outreach, and fellowship.

In 1969, Sims Chapel relocated to its current East Garland home, where it continues to thrive as a welcoming place for all who seek to grow in their faith. Under the inspired leadership of Rev.
